Thanksgiving Food Drive

Please join Dr. Stan Self, Self Center P.C. in collecting food for the Self Center’s annual Thanksgiving Food Drive.  This will help one or more families have one less worry during this Thanksgiving holiday.  After all food items are received by November 24, they will be sorted and given to as many families as these items will serve.  Dr. Self will provide the turkeys and other perishable items to go with these donated goods and the items will be delivered a few days before Thanksgiving.

Many people look forward to planning their favorite holiday meal or trying new recipes, especially at Thanksgiving, when much emphasis is placed on food.  Dr. Self enjoys the holidays as well, but is concerned that not everyone has the financial means to truly enjoy this day, due to fear of not having enough food to feed their family.    “Thanksgiving is a special time to for us.  Everyone deserves the opportunity to enjoy this time and be with their families.  I am thankful for my family, friends and my health.  Families should not have to worry about whether or not they will be able to afford to eat,” says Dr. Self. 

People in the community are encouraged to bring one or more canned goods, or other non-perishable items to the Self Center, P.C.- 306 S. Greeno Road, Suite A, in Fairhope through November 24 between the hours of 8:00 and 4:30.  Please contact Cindy Phillips at 209-2829 for more information.
