Toys For Tots

Dr. Stan Self of Self Center, P.C. in Fairhope announces his support of the local Toys for Tots Campaign.   Toys for Tots is one of the most widely recognized and respected charities in the country. It was created in 1947 by the U.S. Marine Corps and provides toys for needy children across the country during the holiday season. The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, an IRS recognized 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit public charity is the authorized fund raising and support organization for the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. The Foundation provides the funding and support needed for successful annual toy collection and distribution campaigns and is located at Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Virginia.  Local Marine Corps Reserve units and volunteer organizations collect and distribute toys in over 600 communities covering all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

Dr. Self states, “I am honored to continue to be a part of this effort.  Christmas is a time for giving and I encourage everyone to be especially mindful in giving to those who are in need.  My staff and I believe it is important to provide the opportunity for persons to help others and we look forward to helping to make many children happy this Christmas.” 

Self Center, P.C. is located at 306 South Greeno Road, Suite A in Fairhope.  Dr. Self and his staff will be accepting toy donations through Tuesday, December 18, 2008 at the Self Center between 8:00 and 5:00 Monday – Thursday and between 8:00 and 4:30 on Fridays.  Please call Cindy Phillips at 209-2829 for additional information if needed.
